This position is an exciting opportunity to participate in the improvement of our response to the needs of some of the most vulnerable young people in our community. The successful applicant will need an ability to develop specialised new programs and projects, to demonstrate a commitment to quality service provision, capacity to engage high needs young people in an intensive case management process, and to provide professional supervision and support to the Youth Support Workers. .

The Project Manager will be accountable for the delivery of intensive support services to young people in their own homes, and will work with the Case Manager in our emergency services to ensure the needs of young people are addressed in the case plans of clients of the Project.

Funded as a twelve-month pilot project initially, the position will become permanent pending the successful evaluation of the project and ongoing funding being secured.

Special Conditions:

  • Flexible working hours up to 20 hours per week, to be worked during normal office hours
  • Located in the inner city

 

Applicants must have qualifications in social work or psychology, and experience in managing and supervising staff

Salary from $37,162  P.A. plus allowances and benefits through Salary Sacrificing

We are seeking motivated and committed people for the above positions.  The Youth Worker is accountable for the delivery of services to young people within a residential accommodation setting, and works with a Case Manager to support young people in achieving their goals.

The positions require an ability to work day, evening and passive night shifts in a 24-hour emergency outlet. The successful applicants will need to demonstrate a commitment to quality service provision and the competence to work effectively with young people who are in crisis.
