Celebrating 20 years with SJYS

🌟 Celebrating 20 years of service to young people in SA: Congratulations Ryan! 🌟

This month we’re celebrating a truly remarkable milestone — Ryan Bullivant’s 20th anniversary with St John’s Youth Services. Ryan first joined SJYS in 2005 as a youth worker at the Burdekin Youth Shelter. He became the inaugural manager of Foyer Port Adelaide (then known as Ladder St Vincent St) when it opened in 2011, and then moved over to Youth110 when its doors first opened in 2012.

Over two decades, Ryan’s leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment have not only helped young people break the cycle of homelessness, they have redefined how youth services can empower young people to build thriving, independent futures. His passion for creating a supportive, flexible, and respectful environment has left an indelible mark on the lives of thousands of young people in SA.

Ryan has been a key force behind initiatives that have transformed the old shelter-based care models into the housing-first, strengths-based services that SJYS embodies today — approaches that have gained global recognition and inspired change far beyond our community.

Thank you, Ryan, for everything you’ve done and continue to do for young people and for all of us at SJYS. We’re all deeply grateful for your vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to young people in South Australia.
