Foyers: a place to live, learn and thrive

Foyers are more than housing — they're communities where young people build brighter futures through education, work and life opportunities.

Foyers are a unique model of supported housing designed for young people who face barriers to stable accommodation.

At a Foyer, young people live in safe, affordable apartments while working towards their goals in education, training or employment. With one-to-one support, mentoring and access to networks, Foyers provide the tools young people need to thrive.

At a Foyer, young people gain:

  • 🏠  A safe and stable home
  • 🎓  Support to study and train
  • 💼  Pathways to meaningful work
  • 🌱  Skills to live independently and stay well

Why Foyers matter

A fork in the road towards thriving futures

The Foyer model creates a positive turning point in young people’s lives — breaking the cycle of homelessness and opening opportunities for education, work and connection.

There is currently only one youth Foyer in South Australia. Working with the Foyer Foundation and community partners, we are working towards the goal of 5 new youth Foyers in SA and 50 Foyers nationally by 2030, so more young people can benefit from this life-changing model.
