Supporter Spotlight: Beyond Bank
Thank you to Beyond Bank for helping young people stay in their homes and out of homelessness.
Keeping my Place is funded entirely through grants and donations, and committed partners like Beyond Bank make a significant and practical difference for young people experiencing housing stress. With the private rental market under increasing pressure, many young people are struggling to keep up with rising costs and everyday challenges. Having community partners who believe in prevention enables us to step in early, before a challenge becomes a crisis and a tenancy breaks down.
At its heart, Keeping my Place is about prevention. The program works alongside young people who are at risk of losing their home, offering practical, personalised support at the right time. Often it’s small issues that create the biggest stress, such as rent falling behind, bills becoming overwhelming, or misunderstandings with property managers. When these are addressed early, young people have a much better chance of staying in their home and out of homelessness.
Keeping my Place support includes tailored one‑on‑one help with a range of issues such as budgeting, managing household expenses, understanding tenancy responsibilities and building confidence to engage with real estate agents. By tackling challenges before they escalate, young people can protect their rental history, remain connected to community, and continue working toward independence on more stable ground.
Community partnerships are essential to making this possible. Preventing homelessness is not something any one organisation can do alone. It relies on funders, services and local systems working together around the needs of young people.
Beyond Bank’s support reflects a shared belief that keeping a young person housed is one of the most powerful ways to support their wellbeing and future opportunities.
We are genuinely grateful to Beyond Bank for standing alongside young people during times of housing stress, and for helping make early, preventative support possible for more young people in SA.
